Lidija Zelović (1970) was born in Yugoslavia. She studied Serbo-Croatian Language and Literature at the University of Sarajevo. In the early 1990s she fled the war to the Netherlands, where she studied Film and Television Studies at the University of Amsterdam. She went on to work for the BBC, Channel 4 and Dutch broadcasters as a researcher and executive producer of war news and documentaries. Since 1997, Zelović has been directing films and, together with Rogier Kappers, producing films for other filmmakers under Zelovic Film. In 2025 she received the Cultuurfonds Documentary Film Stipend for her body of work as a director.
Rogier Kappers (1963) is a filmmaker and producer with over 30 years of experience. He won a Golden Calf for Lomax the Songhunter (2005) and was nominated for an Emmy Award. His most recent film, 'Glass, My Unfulfilled Life' (2023), was nominated for the Best Dutch Documentary Award at IDFA and received multiple international awards. Within Zelovic Film, he is responsible for the business and production side.
